April 1918 was the beginning of a success story in the history of German entrepreneurship. The images are black and white, but despite being just 27 years old, Carl Valentin’s pioneering spirit was clear to see. In Schwabstrasse, Stuttgart, the C. VALENTIN company started to produce labels. In 1936 the company changed its legal form to CARL VALENTIN KG and moved to Arminstrasse in Stuttgart to concentrate on developing weaving machines. Carl Valentin also continued production in Schwenningen.
