The 1990s started the same way as the 1980s ended: with impressive innovations from CARL VALENTIN. A prime example was the DPM – the first direct printing system on the market. It enabled products to be printed on directly, without the need for labels. The path to becoming a high-tech provider was accompanied by a new addition to the company’s portfolio. The IDS made direct integration in industrial automation possible and further innovations were also underway. The entire decade experienced a process of continual optimisation – ever better, ever faster.
