By the end of the 1950s the bulk of the production work had moved to Schwenningen. The company entered new territory by manufacturing cash registers, tapping new customers and markets – this new potential was vital due to the progressive relocation of the textile industry to the Far East. It was at this point that Dr. Rolf Valentin, the son of the company’s founder, took over management of the company as the generation of the family. Carl Valentin died in 1968 at the age of 76 – a shining example of Swabian ingenuity and a pioneer of the textile industry.
