TAKE-BACK OF VALENTIN OLD EQUIPMENT

The German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) obligates manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment to take-back old equipment in future. The law rules retraction and recycling of electronics products for manufacturers as from 2006. Carl Valentin GmbH complied with the regulations with the following measures:

 

1. Compulsory registration

Each manufacturer who puts electrical equuipment into circulation in Germany after 24 November 2005 must be registered in the Elektro-Altgeraete-Register EAR). The registration number of Carl Valentin is:

2. Labelling of equipment

Label printers of Carl Valentin GmbH are pure B2B (business to business) products for commercial and industrial end customer. Since 15 August 2005, Carl Valentin GmbH marks all its products with the symbol of the slashed dustbin.

3. Obligation to retract old equipment

Since 23 March 2006, manufacturers of B2B equipments are obliged to take-back and dispose old equipment which was manufactured after 13 August 2005. In principle, these old equipments may not be delivered to communal collecting points. They may only be organised used and disposed by manufacturer. Valentin products accordingly can therefore in future be returned to Carl Valentin GmbH.

Thereby Carl Valentin GmbH observes all obligations in the context of old equipment disposal in time and makes therewith the smooth selling of products furthermore possible. Please understand that we can only take-back equipment that is send free of carriage charges.
