The chemical industry works with a wide variety of substances, some of which can be dangerous, explosive or hazardous to the environment and health. For this reason, all chemicals are subject to a fundamental labelling obligation before they can be placed into circulation. Since labelling systems differ greatly from country to country, the Globally Harmonised System (GHS) was introduced, a uniform system for the classification and labelling of chemicals.
This uniform labelling also contains a variety of set colour symbols. For this, the DuoPrint from Carl Valentin is the optimal solution. By means of two prints arranged one behind the other, bicoloured printing in one workflow becomes possible. Correspondingly there is Labelstar Office, the in-house software that, as standard, stores and supports all GHS symbols.
